Comment parler
à des gens

This hand bound book contains 28 photos of strangers I’ve encountered on the streets of Montreal. I’ve never known how to talk to people I don’t know. It turns out that one way to do this is to ask people if I can take their picture. Many of them will say no, but some will say yes. Some might be exasperated, but many will be kind and patient. I’ve often walked around watching people, wondering where they’re going, what they’re doing, what they’re thinking. This project gave me a tiny glimpse into the lives of the people walking the same streets as me, and I’m very grateful to those who gave me a few minutes of their time.
